Very disappointing stay
- What did you like most?the fact that the rooms are relatively large for New York
- Was there anything you didn't like?rst, the hotel charges a $100 per night deposit, which is already quite high-but in our case, they made a mistake and charged $200 per night. Although the hotel has three elevators, only two are working-and sometimes even just one. Every time you want to leave the hotel or return to your room, you need to allow at least 30 minutes just to wait for an elevator. Otherwise, you’ll have to use the stairs, which are extremely crowded—like Fifth Avenue during rush hour. We ended up going up and down 18 floors on foot about three times a day. During peak hours, there was no hot water in the shower. For two days straight, we had to shower with cold water. Housekeeping skipped our room twice, and to make things worse, when people are waiting for the elevator in the lobby, the walls and doors are so thin that you can hear everything as if they were inside your room. It’s simply impossible to sleep in these conditions. The hotel staff didn’t seem to care at all - they are clearly aware of these issues and are used to hearing complaints.
