If historical home B&Bs are your vibe, stay at the Lookaway Inn!!
- What did you like most?We so wanted to give Lookaway Inn not just a 10, but an 11 or 12 (See next comment box). The Inn itself is a magnificent facility, and its location couldn't have been more convenient. John, the Innkeeper, was so cordial and welcoming, even though we arrived a half-hour late. I thoroughly enjoyed our baseball discussion. The breakfast ladies could not have been friendlier.
- Was there anything you didn't like?We miss the traditional pre-Covid Bed and Breakfasts where the wonderful breakfast was served. Based on the pictures and the comments in booking.com, we expected a wonderful sit-down breakfast. We were underwhelmed. On the plus side, the omelet I was served was outstanding. However, having my breakfast entree served on a side plate with nothing else was a real disappointment. That omelet deserved hash browns (grits for real Southerners) and some bacon strips. There was a buffet table of cold items, but even that was sparse. I realize that there were very few guests, but still...... Overall, we had a great time, though, and would consider returning in the future.
