- What did you like most?Nothing. Absolutely nothing. This stay was an absolute horrible experience.
- Was there anything you didn't like?Disclaimer- I travel about 120 nights a year for business and know how to rate hotels. I’m lifetime Platinum Marriot Bonvoy. I also used to be elite with either Hilton or Hyatt depending on travel patterns for the year. This hotel is a former W Hotels property turned into absolute rubbish. The W Residences are next door and I wish I’d AirBnb’d that instead. New owner did nothing to change the hotel and has managed to hire the WORSE front office staff. Upon our check in there was a line due to only one staff working. The other sat next to her being on FaceTime with her child. When I asked her if she could come help out with the line she responded with a tone that she was on a break. We were also about 30 minutes early to check in and while the room was ready we could not get it unless we wanted to pay a $50 fee. There are no amenities at the hotel. The restaurant is not affiliated other than by address. You can’t charge the room and you can’t take your cocktail with you. The old W Bar is still visible in the lobby but not used. Rooms are worn and dated. Dirty. Our bathroom door did not close more than halfway. Luckily we were barely in the room so not the worst of issues. It’s located next to WTC and getting in and out with car or Uber is painful. Expect long waits. Honestly, I regret coming here and would rather choose a Hampton Inn.
