Hotel Features
Located on the beachfront in Playa del Carmen, this resort offers 5 outdoor pools, entertainment team, yoga classes and massages. Mahekal Beach Resort offers spacious, air-conditioned rooms with Mayan-style décor. The peaceful rooms do not include radios or TVs but do offer telephone services and WiFi. All rooms offer a private safe box, private bathroom with a hairdryer and have a terrace with hammocks and views of the sea or tropical gardens. A daily breakfast and à la carte lunch and dinner are available in the Olas Restaurant. Fuego Restaurant serves four-course set dinners, and offers regular theme nights and live music. The resort is located in a very popular area of Playa del Carmen, just a few minutes' walk from lively 5th Avenue. The on-site concierge can arrange visits to the Mayan ruins of Tulum National Park, a 45-minute drive away.

Perfect beach front location
- What did you like most?Incredible location - at the end of the best downtown Playa Del Carmen street with amazing restaurants all along it. And the other side of the hotel is direct access to a wonderful stretch of beach. Perfect for people not looking for all inclusive but instead luxurious stay with access steps away to wonderful Mexican food. The hotel also helped us organise some excellent tours.

- What did you like most?This place like its name says it’s Magical! Not only that, it will be part of my life journey since this is where I proposed to my fiancee. The people of Mahekal went above and beyond to help me create the most beautiful magical day for my girl and the perfect romantic dinner by the beach. A sunset in the Caribbean with the perfect atmosphere for me and my love. We couldn’t be more grateful and Mahekal was an amazing place for this epic event. The hotel has its own mystical vibe. It basically looks like a little town in the middle of the jungle with top of the line rooms which might as well be a set of a jungle film. An amazing luxury hotel with so many amenities including a pool and jacuzzi by the beach. The service and people in it are warm and welcoming. If God allows it, we would be more than happy to have our wedding there. Shout out to Roberto who went above and beyond and then some to make our stay and experience unforgettable. Little details here and there and after the proposal we received a beautiful gift in our room. A wonderful touch from the people in Mahekal to make our special day even more memorable. I cannot praise this place enough. Solid 10000 out of 10. Magical beautiful luxury place.
